A special honour has been bestowed upon Kurt Sacher from Chinook’s Edge School Division.
On March 19th during the virtual annual general meeting for the College of Alberta School Superintendents (CASS), Sacher received the provincial EXL Award for Excellence in School System Leadership.
The prestigious award is granted to outstanding school system leaders who exhibit exemplary leadership ability and have enhanced the profession of school system administrators over the course of their career. It is jointly sponsored by Xerox Canada Ltd. and the Canadian Association of School System Administrators.
Holly Bilton, Chair of the Board of Trustees for CESD, says Chinook’s Edge is thrilled to see Sacher get the award. Bilton says he does a wonderful job.

As the Alberta recipient of the EXL Award for Excellence in School System Leadership, Kurt Sacher will be the province’s nominee for the national award as Canadian Superindendent of the Year. The winner will be announced at the Canadian Association of School System Administrators (CASSA) conference which will be held virtually from Ottawa on July 6th.
