Innisfail, Alberta – On September 9th, 2021 at 7:34 p.m, Innisfail RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle which was observed on an oilfield site in the rural area by Raven, Alta.
Witnesses belonging to the Raven crime watch group were able to provide a description of the vehicle and the direction it had traveled while Innisfail RCMP were responding to the location.
Innisfail RCMP located the suspect vehicle a short time later. It was discovered that the oilfield site had been damaged and suspects had stolen copper wire from that location. As a result of the investigation, Innisfail RCMP located freshly cut copper wire in the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle, a male and female, were arrested without incident.
Daryl Springer (42 yrs) from Clive, Alberta and Brandy Carl (44 yrs) from the Red Deer area have been charged with:
- Break and enter
- Theft under $5000
- Possession of break in instruments
In addition, Brandy Carl was wanted on two outstanding warrants and was charged with failing to comply with conditions and Daryl Springer was charged with offences under the Traffic Safety Act.
Following a judicial hearing, Springer and Carl were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on Octobert 6th, 2021.
