Richard Warnock has won a three candidate race for Mayor in the Town of Sundre.
Unofficially, the 72 year old received 404 votes to defeat Cheri Funke and Patty LaPointe. Funke collected 304 votes, while LaPointe received 161.

Warnock has spent the past four years on Sundre council. He says most of the candidates waited for the results to come in at a local restaurant in Sundre on Monday night.
The six councilors who have unofficially been elected are Jamie Marr with 590 votes, Owen Pedersen 550, Chris Vardas 548, Connie Anderson 521, Paul Isaac*, 495 and Todd Dalke* 479. Missing out were Robert Wolfe* 409, Carolyn Skyes 248, Douglas Laveck 205, and William Davies 154.
According to the Town of Sundre, the official results will be released on Friday (October 22nd).
