It wasn’t the big, grand opening they were hoping for but the Didsbury Memorial Complex officially re-opened this morning, following months of renovations. Nicole Aasen, Manager of Community Services for the Town of Didsbury, says the excitement level is high to see the facility back in use.
While the facility is open, Aasen says there are still health protocols in place that need to be followed.
Masks are mandatory for anyone entering the facility, although they are not mandatory for any skaters on the ice. All trainers must remain masked and must be certified with either Hockey Alberta or a provincial figure skating organization.
