After the disappointment of a North Division Finals being cut short and essentially losing the entire 2020/2021 Heritage Junior Hockey League Season to COVID 19, the Mountainview Colts are ready to hit the ice again.
Head Coach Gord Olson is set to lead the Colts again this season, he mentions last year was a hard season for all hockey players.
Olson says he is ready to get back on the ice after a disappointing end to the last 2 seasons.
Preparations for the upcoming HJHL season are now in full swing, Olson says that there will be a number of key players returning to the team this year.
Olson also says there will be a new addition to his coaching staff this season, but a familiar name.
Olson enters the year with the same expectations as he always has.
Colts try-out camp is set for August 27th to 29th at the Didsbury Memorial Complex, prospective players can find registration forms as well as more information at mountainviewcolts.ca or on their Facebook page.
96.5 CKFM’s Bernd Van’t Klooster spoke with Gord Olson and wrote this story.
