The Mountain View Colts won their final game before the holiday break by blanking the Rocky Rams 4 to nothing last Friday in Didsbury.
Colts Head Coach Dan Visser says it was good to finish on a high note before taking some time off.
Visser says Mountain View will be looking to move up in the standings in the new year when they play their final 14 games of the regular season.
The Colts went 2-2-1 in December to enter the holiday break with an overall record of 9-10-5 to sit in third place in the Heritage Junior Hockey League’s Northern Division. They are just 2 points behind the second place Rocky Rams (11-10-3). He discusses what their schedule will look like between now and the new year.
Mountain View’s first game of the new year will be at home on Friday, January 5th at 8pm versus the Ponoka Stampeders (1-25-0). The Colts will play 9 of their final 14 games on home ice.
