Carstairs, Alta. – On Dec. 17, 2023, Didsbury RCMP responded to a call of a break and enter to the Tim Horton’s in Carstairs, Alta.
The RCMP Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit was asked to assist with the investigation. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect was also responsible for a series of similar break and enters to businesses in the High River and Okotoks areas around the same time. On Dec. 22, 2023, the RCMP Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit located and arrested Corey Pashe (35), a resident of Portage La Prairie, Man. A search warrant was also executed on a residence in Calgary. Corey Pashe has been charged with the following:
- Break and enter and commit theft (x2)
- Break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence (x2)
- Fail to comply with Undertaking
- Possession of break in tools
- Wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence
After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, Pashe was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice on Jan. 10, 2024, in Canmore, Alta. At the time of his arrest, Corey Pashe was wanted out of British Columbia for similar offences.
